My life long friend

There are some things you ALL should know about me... and will get to know more as time goes on...first~my BEST FRIEND in the whole WIDE world is Sandy we have know eachother since we were about 3 (from ballet class). I love her to pieces and cherish the times we spend together... She knows my world, and still loves me unconditionally, and like wise. Our life styles are night and day, the one thing and most important thing is we both Love God and Jesus!! Here are a few exsamples of how different we are, she is up at the crack of dawn, when the rooster crows (actually before) and I am still sleeping, she is out working hard ALL day and I am at home except on Tues, I dont like to leave the house. Today was extra special I went to Target with her and we invested in our selves and of course StarBuckies!! I will just let you know it was one fun filled hour wrapped in laughter, chatter, & talks of growing old together!! Sandy I love ya, darling...YOU are the sister I NEVER had, I can not and will not amagine life without YOU!!!

books and veggies

Cooking with vegtables is always so colorful, and healthy! We are so excited about planting our garden this year, Little Mae Mae ask almost every day "is it time, mommy to plant our garden" and I respond with we have to wait till after the FROST, wow that is hard to explain, but not really just "google" everything and it will not only explain but show images... what did our parents do, before "google"? I remember do you all remember the man coming to the door all dressed up in a suite carry these big thick books with gold on the outer pages, awe yes...Britanica World book... & YES We were ONE of those families that proudly displayed the American flag and the whole set of World Book Encyclopedia.
Back to veggies I love vegtables and can not eat enough of them, I will say I get my full servings in the summer time, that is for sure!

Fresh tea & summer veggies

Saturday we had my parents over for dinner, it was as my father said "The first grill of the season." I know summer is approaching when I start brewing the tea, and the tomatoes are red and plump, Jeff Loves his tomatoes red, with salt, pepper, italian seasoning & chilled...the smile on his face, when I open the refrigerator and pull out his mother's platter covered with red tomatoes lights up like a little boy in a candy store, confirming to me that its all worth while serving him!

One of our other favorite things to do is to take a potatoe, slice it open and add oion, salt & pepper wrap it in reynolds wrap and put on the grill, delish ( you will see this word a million times over!!) Then I took fresh zuccini & squash and seasoned with salt, pepper & oion, vala!!

Simple Sundays

Well we all sat outside enjoying the sun, and Nemo Love (as Lily Mae calls "HER") was showing off her talents to us, she was truely excited to be outside in the sun, she keep swimming around and doing turns and all, it was pretty funny!

for some reason when I hang out laundry I feel like I have achieved so much that day.... When I look out my window, you can see the crosses D made for me and the coffee sign Jeff gave to me, so sweet!

Nurturing my talents

Life can sometimes be difficult when you are a "JACK OF ALL TRADES" you become very overwhelmed and NEVER really finish projects, however I must say I did this time...and I am thrilled!  I took 8 weeks of art (oil painting) classes and here is the end result... after making time for me, following directions, & applying myself.
